[Press Release] Public Hospital Patient Transfer program updates

Canossa Hospital has actively participated in the public hospital patient transfer program to alleviate the heavy burden of the public hospital system.  Since mid-April, we have screened over 30 cases through the program.  We received 12 cases from the HA hospitals (up to 5th September 2022), of which 6 were recently discharged.  The number of patients admitted under the program has once exceeded the proposed bed number committed by our hospital.  The current bed occupancy rate is 75% due to the discharged cases.  Canossa Hospital has worked closely with the HKSAR Government and Hospital Authority (HA).  If there are increasing demands from HA and the community, we shall consider providing more beds and support under our capacity and resources.
